Forse il più “bislacco” tra i diciannove titoli, il più surreale, il più impossibile. Il tema reclama uno svolgimento sanguinolento, e una resa pittorica sgradevole. La tenia, pur vagamente dorata, è a brandelli, forse ‘incurabile’, e affonda inesorabilmente nella propria purulenza. Il parassita ferito evoca una speranza per l’ospite, vittima forse di relazioni tossiche e distruttive, oppure di un segreto doloroso, un senso di colpa, un rimpianto cronico, oppure di dipendenze psicologiche, politiche o sociali.

Perhaps the most “extravagant” of the nineteen titles; the most surreal, the most impossible. The subject demands a bloody treatment and an unpleasant pictorial rendering. The tapeworm, though vaguely golden, is in tatters, perhaps incurable, sinking inexorably into its own putrescence. The wounded parasite evokes hope for the host, perhaps victim of toxic and destructive relationships, or of a painful secret, a sense of guilt, a chronic regret, or of psychological, political, or social dependencies.
