Felicità del tiranno 2024-25

Titolo paradossale, o forse no. Può essere davvero felice un tiranno? E qual è il metro morale di questafelicità? Il tiranno si nutre del dominio, del terrore,della violenza, del proprio isolamento. Quantafelicità può esistere nel male? Si tratta quindidi un sentimento vuoto, un’illusione di felicità,qui rappresentata semplicemente da un muroimbiancato, simbolo del suo potere: un isolamentosterile, che imprigiona chi è dentro ed esclude chi èfuori, ma che soprattutto autoesclude il tiranno.A paradoxical title, or perhaps not.

The tyrant's happiness

Can a tyrant truly be happy? And what is the moral measure of that happiness? The tyrant feeds on domination, terror, violence, and his own isolation. How much happiness can exist within evil? It is therefore an empty feeling, an illusion of happiness, represented here simply by a whitewashed wall, a symbol of his power: a sterile isolation that imprisons those inside and excludes those outside, but above all excludes the tyrant himself.
